Frequently Asked Questions
1. Does somebody have to be home during the delivery or pickup?
No, it is not necessary for anyone to be home during the delivery.
2. Can we mix and match the sign sets/critters?
Yes, we will try to accommodate all requests for signs. Each display will have between 20 - 40 critters per display so you can use 1 design or 5 to get the look you want. We can be pretty creative when it comes to putting a sign set together for you. We are always on the look out for good ideas for sets from our customers too!
3. Do you deliver every day of the week?
Yes, provided that the sign you are requesting is available, during some peak seasons certain signs will book up in advance.
4. What areas do you deliver to?
We deliver to the entire DFW area for your convenience. Please call or email to verify your service area.
5. How much prior notice is needed?
Reservations are best to ensure availability, however, if inventory allows we can put a sign together for you within a couple of hours depending on your location. We love SURPRISES and sometimes that means a last minute call to us to help out.
6. What methods of payment are accepted?
We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express. In all cases payment must be made at the time of booking.
7. Do you participate in fund raising?
Yes. give Tonya or Shane a call to discuss your organizations needs. We can help with fundraising and silent auctions. Our signs have been used to advertise school functions as well.
8. Can we keep the signs and/or critters?
No, we love our little critters and an inventory is made at each SURPRISE before we drive away. We take pictures of the yards/events and would be glad to share those with you.
9. Do you deliver to condo’s/apartments?
Not at this time. Since the surprise would be on common property it is hard to control theft of our little critters.
10. Do you deliver to businesses?
Yes. We will deliver to businesses as long as there is a grassy area for the critters to go. They will be set up right before daybreak and taken down at 5:30 p.m. the same day. Our “critters” can also be a great "grand opening" display.
11. Can the kids play with the critters?
No. While we welcome tons of photos of everyone with the critters, they are not toys and are not safe for climbing, jumping, or leaning on. It is not safe for the kids to climb on them, feed them, water them, move them, or add anything to them.
12. What if I need to mow my lawn?
Weedeaters and mowers are not friendly to the critters. Please pay special attention to the little guys during lawn care or any other yard activity around them. We will happily remove the displays prior to the previously arranged time with advanced notice if need be.
13. Are there rewards for frequent renters and referrals?
Yes! We love our customers and want to reward this compliment. Please make sure your referrals mention your name at the time the order is placed and you will receive a $5 discount on your next rental.
14. What information do you need from me to make a delivery?
Since we deliver the SURPRISES in the dark, we will need complete address information and any helpful directions/landmarks you can provide. Also, please indicate the best delivery time. Most deliveries are made between 10pm and 6am; however, we LOVE daytime deliveries too. Of course, we will need to know what you would like your message to say (and we can offer suggestions for this!). If someone in the home is in on the SURPRISE please have them leave a porch light on and make sure any dogs are happy so as not to give away the SURPRISE.

Full Service Delivery Info
Our Display Setup & Pickup times are scheduled with you when you place your order. We will do our best to accommodate any special timing request you have.
We may delay pick up upon scheduling conflicts on the pickup date. We will not charge for additional days if we delay pick up.
Customer or Recipient is not required to be on site. If there are no specific instructions to the location or placement of the signs for setup, then we will setup your display to obtain the most visibility. Please be aware that we will NOT relocate signs once they are setup. We also will not set up close to roads and sidewalks or any other public property that could potentially put our signs in harm’s way. We respect all local easements and right of ways in placing signs. If we cannot find the home or if for any reason we cannot gain access to the yard of the home then we will call you to determine the best course of action.
Refunds/Exchanges/Cancellations
All rentals are final. No Refunds can be made. If for any reason we cannot setup the signs due to circumstances beyond our control such as extreme weather or any unsafe condition or something that might cause damage to us or our signs, we will notify you and set up a rescheduled install. If we are asked to remove the signs or not install signs by the recipient at the time of installation, the sale is considered final and an email will be sent to you letting you know of the refusal. If the recipient would like signs to be removed sooner than the requested pick-up date we will do our best to accommodate this request.
Non-Returned or Damaged Items
If upon pickup there are missing and/or damaged signs from the display we will charge the card on file for each missing and/or damaged sign. Large Signs are $250 each. Small Signs are $20 each.
Liability of Renter
Signs & their installation will create holes in the ground & may cause damage to small flowers, bushes or other lawn ornaments. You, The Renter, assume all responsibility for any and all damage caused by signs and their installation.
Privacy Policy
Fun Sign Surprise may display a photo on the website of the actual character display which was set on your lawn when it was completed to show as a sample. Fun Sign Surprise will not share the information from your order form with any other agency or outside party nor will we disclose this rental agreement with the recipient (no matter how much they beg).
